❸ Yarn over hook again, and pull out another loop. One stitch cast on.

❹ Leaving the first st on hook, insert the hook into the original loop again, under both strands, as shown by the arrow. Yarn over and pull loop through.

❺ Yarn over and pull out another loop. Second stitch cast on.

❻ Repeat steps ④ and ⑤ until you have cast on the number of stitches required.

❼ Transfer the cast-on stitches to 3 or 4 double-pointed needles, as needed. These cast-on stitches form row 1 of the stitch pattern.
